A Separation Method of Superimposed Gratings in Double-Projector Fringe Projection Profilometry Using a Color Camera

چکیده

Fringe projection profilometry has been intensively studied for several decades. However, due to the limitation of field range a single projector, when measuring objects with complex surfaces, there are always shadow areas in captured images, resulting missing measurement data dark areas. To solve this problem, systems double projectors and camera were employed. Not only reduced, but system recalibration multiple measurements not needed, improving efficiency. Nevertheless, separating corresponding pattern from superimposed fringe presented difficult problem. A color RGB three channels. When is applied profilometry, information obtained times as much that monochrome camera. Due small overlap between red- blue-light spectra response cameras, channel crosstalk can be ignored. This paper proposes method project red blue patterns two utilize characteristics channels separate superposition grating pattern. The original recovered integrally easily. explain effectiveness separation, simulation experiments carried out. Both them showed separated correctly, proving our feasible.

Blind color isolation for color-channel-based fringe pattern profilometry using digital projection.

We present an algorithm for estimating the color demixing matrix based on the color fringe patterns captured from the reference plane or the surface of the object. The advantage of this algorithm is that it is a blind approach to calculating the demixing matrix in the sense that no extra images are required for color calibration before performing profile measurement. Simulation and experimental...

Improved geometrical model of fringe projection profilometry.

The accuracy performance of fringe projection profilometry (FPP) depends on accurate phase-to-height (PTH) mapping and system calibration. The existing PTH mapping is derived based on the condition that the plane formed by axes of camera and projector is perpendicular to the reference plane, and measurement error occurs when the condition is not met. In this paper, a new geometric model for FPP...

Generic gamma correction for accuracy enhancement in fringe-projection profilometry.

Fringe-projection profilometry is one of the most commonly used noncontact methods for acquiring the three-dimensional (3D) shape information of objects. In practice, the luminance nonlinearity caused by the gamma effect of a digital projector and a digital camera yields undesired fringe intensity changes, which substantially reduce the measurement accuracy. In this Letter, we present a robust ...

Color Information Presentation for Color Vision Defective by Using a Projector Camera System

There are individual differences in color vision. It is difficult for a person with defective cones in the retina to recognize the difference of specific colors. We propose a presentation method of color information by using a projector camera system. The system projects border lines or color names on real object surfaces when they have specific color combinations. Effectiveness of the proposed...

Effective bias removal for fringe projection profilometry using the dual-tree complex wavelet transform.

When reconstructing the three-dimensional (3D) object height profile using the fringe projection profilometry (FPP) technique, the light intensity reflected from the object surface can yield abruptly changing bias in the captured fringe image, which leads to severe reconstruction error. The traditional approach tries to remove the bias by suppressing the zero spectrum of the fringe image. It is...
